Where it all began
E-TEC, The beginning, the birth of the revolution. What began with imagination and 3-D graphics took shape in the Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines. The first new Evinrude outboards designed with the full commitment of the world-class BRP engineering team. Looks like the revolution is officially a success. Lightweight, Compact inline 2 and 3 cylinder engines offer smooth power in a lightweight package (the 2 cylinder models are up to 33% lighter than competitive outboards). No maintenance for three years. No oil, no problem. Longer engine life. Cleanest engine in the world. Uses less fuel. Runs quiet. Full-throttle from day one. Stay looking like new.
