Flexible handling
The BF15 is the only engine in their class equipped with a power tilt feature, perfect for effortless engine tilt-operations and shallow-water running. Up to mid-rpm ranges, you can actually use this function as a trim to improve your boats performance at higher speeds.

Accelerating innovation
Providing smoother acceleration and enhanced fuel efficiency, Honda introduces to the BF15 its proven PGM-IG technology, a micro-processor-controlled ignition system that optimizes ignition timing at any speed. And for more security, you can rely on Honda's electronically controlled monitoring system.

Power thrust to your destination
Already the lightest in their class, each engine is available in a Power Thrust kit version that boosts torque from low revs using specially designed propeller blades and a high efficiency gear case. Four Stroke Engine Design World-renowned Honda quality combines proven reliability and superior fuel efficiency, with no oil/fuel mixing.
Lightweight Rounded Design: The Honda BF15 model is ergonomically designed for easy transportation.
It is ideal for small boats, dinghies or as an auxiliary.
Power Tilt & Gas Assist Tilt: For the first time in this portable segment the BF15 comes available with power tilt and gas assist tilt options.
Auto Start Enrichment: On eletric start models, automatically adjusts the air fuel mixture for quick, easy starting and warm up operation.
Easy One Hand Starting: Working together a built-in decompression release and digital CDI system, which sets the ignition timing during start up. Greatly reduces the effort required to pull start the engine by hand.
PGM-IG - Programmed Ignition: Programmed ignition system accurately controls ignition timing, enabling enhanced running performance accross the entire rev range.
High Output Charging: 6 amps (Manual start) & 12 amps (electric start). Provide enough power to keep all your electronics performing while trolling.
Pendulum Mount System: Honda's exclusive triangulated, rubber-mount system absorbs vibration and provides smooth operation.
Engine Alert System: The integrated warning system protects the engine from severe damage due to low oil, over-revving and over heat situations.
Integrated Carry Handle: A convenient, foldaway carry handle situated at the exact top/bottom balance point of the engine. This enables easy transportation in a level position
Fresh Water Flushport: Allows easy freshwater flushing of the engine, extending the life of the outboard.
Longer Tiller Handle: The BF15 have convenient longer tiller handles for increased control and reduced steering effort.
Environmental Performance: Ultra low emission
 The BF15 achieves outstanding clean exhaust performance that exceeds both the U.S EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) 2006 and CARB (California Air Resources Board) emissions regulations for 2008 -the most stringent emissions standards in the world.
Forward Mounted Shift Lever: The convenient forward mount shift lever allows fingertip shifting. Twist grip throttle and tensioner allows for superior throttle friction control minimizing driver fatigue.
Shallow Water Drive: Greatly reduces the risk of engine damage while navigating in shallow water.
Corrosion Protection:
Corrosion 		Honda uses a unique multi-layer finish to ensure the highest possible level of corrosion resistance on all models.
