It may be a trailer to many, but we strive for our trailers to be the best available. > capacities and braking requirements When making your selection on a new trailer or a complete package, it is important to note the maximum weight capacity of the trailer. This information is contained on the ID plate fitted by Dunbier to the trailer. The nominated weight capacity includes the trailer. You should allow for marine gear and approximately 1 kg for every litre of fuel. If you overload the trailer, problems may occur such as blown tyres and bent axles. It's just not worth it. To avoid problems, upgrade your wheelbase or change to a tandem axle arrangement. Brakes or no brakes? The law varies in different countries but in Australia brakes are required on one axle for boat, motor, trailer combinations over 750kg and under 2,000kgs. Over 2,000kg, a Hydrastar Breakaway Braking system is required and callipers must be fitted to all wheels. |

Dunbier took the ultimate, strong and reliable boat trailer then went to work on it. For starters, the frame was refined, then engineered wider, this lets those deep vee hulls to ease right down into the trailer. Next to be added was the wrap-a-round walkway just to keep your feet dry. Then we attached the galvanised axle and springs to the main frame and added the white custom guards and white wheels. To give your boat protection while retrieving, plastic keel guards between the roller arms were added and an "S" bend in the rear cross member was incorporated. Finish the lot off with galvanised bots and u-bolts, and the Wide Track Series is built to work and be seen. | ||||
